Kompakt Mikro Kojenerasyon or MikKo for short is a cogeneration kit project which is funded by TUBITAK BIGG. Located at the ITU Teknokent, the project is planned to be on the market in the last quarter of 2018.
MikKo consists of two heat exchangers and a control module. Heat exchangers harvest waste heat from the cooling water and exhaust. Control module is designed to provide stable outlet water temperature. MikKo differentiates from outher products as it neither a cogeneration unit nor heat exchanger. It is an add-on which converts generators on the market to combined heat and power (CHP) or cogeneration units.
